Year round school is something that a lot of schools are now doing, and it is also being considered by all schools. I have to say in my opinion I must disagree. I feel that not giving students a summer break would be a mistake. For me I know how much I enjoy summer and how devastated I would be if I no longer had a summer break. One reason I believe it would be harder to do year round schooling is because child will have a much harder time focusing in class when the weather outside is so nice. I know when the weather is nice all i can think about is being outside and enjoying it. Although that would be difficult i think there is another much more important reason that we should not have year round schooling. I think that if students are only given a little break here and there that they will never really put full effort into their school work. At the end of year when finals are coming up and all big assignments are going to be due students are working their butts off. I they were working and consciously knowing that they would be back to school work in a week i doubt they would be putting forth as much effort. Another problem I have is that this decision is being made without any input from the students themselves. No one knows better than the students when they learn best and what more beneficial is for them.
